Justine Waddell, Asterisk Films
Justine Waddell, Founder

Acclaimed actress Justine Waddell (“Target,” 2011, “The Fall”, 2007) is a producer and founder of London based Asterisk Films and Projects.

In 2019 Justine produced two feature films Force of Nature Natalia and The Mother, and in 2020 is currently producing two new films with Dutch violinist superstar Janine Janson.

Born in South Africa and raised in Scotland, Justine began acting as an undergraduate at Cambridge University. Her first major role was opposite Ralph Fiennes in Ivanov at The Almeida, which sparked an enduring interest in Russian Film and Culture.

Justine is also the founding director of Kino Klassika, a charity which raises money to restore classic films from Russia and the Caucasus. She is also a global Ambassador of the St Petersburg Cultural Forum.

Talitha Piggot, Asterisk Films
Talitha Piggot

Born and raised in London, UK, Talitha worked in Vancouver, BC for four years on short and feature length films, commercials, music videos, and series within both the Camera and Art Department.

During her time as an art department head, she worked on projects nominated for Best Production Design at the Leo Awards, as well as features that premiered at Cannes, Toronto International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival.

Talitha has a Management and Finance degree in additional to her practical on-set experience. She also works as a Freelance Season Manager for film exhibition seasons, partnering with establishments such as BFI Southbank, and The Barbican, and engaging within the UK festival scene in venue coordination, curation and film programming partnering.

Seraphina Paisey, Asterisk Films
Seraphina Paisey

Seraphina studied Comparative Literature, before undertaking a Masters in Russian Studies at UCL. Following this she developed an enduring interest in Russian film and moved to Moscow before returning to the UK in 2018.

Following this, Seraphina has been working as a freelance writer and researcher with a strong focus around film criticism, in addition to research for documentaries and programming. During this time, she has worked on BFI funded endeavours and created content for New Media outlets.
